The era of palace coups is a time interval in the political life of Russia of the XVIII century, when the transition of the highest state power took place by the guards or courtiers of palace coups. The author of the term V. O. Klyuchevsky dates the era of palace coups to the period from the death of Peter I in 1725 to the accession of Catherine II to the throne in 1762. However, some historians believe that this era ended when Paul I died in 1801. As a result, this site will contain eight personalities who ruled our country in the 18th century from 1725 to 1801. (Catherine I, Peter II, Anna Ioannovna and conditions, Ivan 6 and his regent, Elizabeth Petrovna, Peter III, Catherine II and Paul I).
